Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM) implementation has been creating a safer and more secure environment for employees of PRF Site, Bharatpur.

 As the construction of the PET Recycling Facility (PRF) site in Bharatpur gains momentum, it is crucial to recognize the potential impact on both the local community and the workers on-site. Whether the grievance stems from a minor issue or a severe concern, its repercussions on the site workers, the surrounding community, and the environment can be far-reaching.

 To address these concerns proactively, Infra Coordinator Mr. Bipan Timalsina, in collaboration with Site Engineer Sulov Shah, provided a comprehensive overview of the Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM) to the construction workers on 1 September 2024.

They emphasized the importance of the GRM and described its components, including who to report to and where to submit the form. The GRM addresses a wide range of issues, including complaints about the construction company, construction activities, and occupational health and safety concerns at the PRF site.

 Now, construction workers have a clear and accessible channel to raise issues related to various aspects of the construction process. Concerns include fair wages, occupational health and safety issues, the availability of personal protective equipment (PPE), basic hygiene facilities, first aid supplies, and conflicts with coworkers or the construction company.

 The implementation of the GRM has created a safer and more secure environment for employees, ensuring that their concerns are heard and addressed by the responsible and relevant office bearers.
