Phase II of the Waste Workers Emergency Relief Project (WWERP) has officially started in Chitwan from June 24, 2020. For the first day of distribution, the program was carried out in three distribution sites. A total of 117 waste workers were reached out on the first day. Out of the 117 total waste workers, 89 were provided with ration materials, and 28 were provided with safety gear. 

The distribution was accompanied by awareness sessions by our medical officer to the waste workers. Along with basic hygiene practices, they were given demonstrations on the proper use and removal of safety gear. 

The project will continue in Chitwan for some more days and more beneficiaries will be impacted through the project.
