The safety of waste workers who play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness of our environment is important. Through Recycler Saathi a program of CREASION we recognized the need for protection in keeping themselves safe while working. Therefore, we provided them with access to an accidental insurance policy.

The main objective of this program was to ensure the occupational safety of the waste workers and provide them with safety nets in case of any occupational accidents or hazards. In the first phase, 75 waste workers of various scrap centers and aggregators located in Chitwan and Kathmandu were provided insurance for probable occupational accidents or hazards. Furthermore, in the second phase, 25 waste workers from various scrap centers and aggregators of Kathmandu are now provided accidental insurance.
